15th Annual Red Lake Youth Conference tries to bring healing back to the community – P4


The first day of the 15th Annual Red Lake Youth Conference kicked off Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Red Lake Nation College. Organized by the Red Lake Nation Youth Council, the conference was designed to focus on bringing together young leaders and community members from surrounding areas to create a healing environment, using traditional culture and teachings.

During this two-day conference, topics for discussion include leadership skills, identifying native tea, teaching native yoga, reconnecting with related plants, and workshops focusing on traditional teachings of men and women. women.

A meet and greet with special guests was planned, an evening of entertainment and comedy, and a Hoop Medicine basketball camp.
