Gogglebox star goes to therapy after partner cheated on her


Gogglebox star Denise Van Outen told Fearne Cotton that she started going to therapy to get over her cheating ex-partner. She says it will help her prepare and be emotionally available for her next relationship. Birmingham live.

Speaking on the podcast, she said: “I’m fine actually. I wasn’t fine, you know. We had conversations. And like I said, I’m sensitive. I wouldn’t say that I’m completely cured, but I’m getting there, I’m also doing therapy for the first time in my life, which I’ve never done before.

She added: “I think I always thought I could figure it all out on my own. I think because everything that happened floored me, like literally floored me, I then wanted to kind of start to understand why there seems to be a pattern too, not just on the other side but on my side.

“Why I sometimes allow myself to try and fix things and fix them. I think I’m a bit of a fixer. I try to fix people you know, and sometimes it’s to my detriment. Not always . I think that’s what I’m trying to figure out.”

The Gogglebox star said: “I’ve always had a relationship with an extremely open heart because I always think people are going to be honest and loyal, because that’s how I approach everything, and you start to realize that we are not all the same.

“I think it will be a bit of a problem, but it’s something that I’m going to have to work out and just…when the time comes, when the time is right. But I’m open to that.
