A mother’s love for her daughter led Belinda Harris and Hunter Bown to open a new business, Natural Elements in Charles Street Yeppoon, offering a range of natural therapies, herbs, crystals, hair, skin and household products and a cheerful smile to boot.
Although there is still some work to be done to complete the treatment rooms over the next few weeks, Belinda is happy to welcome people to the new business.
Belinda has extensive experience as a real estate agent, private business accountant and financial planner.
After extensive training in natural therapies, she included therapist titles Emmett and Bowen.
Raised and educated on the Capricorn Coast, Hunter was the friendly counter at Woolworths in Yeppoon for four years and now she happily runs the retail side of Natural Elements.
Belinda said the concept for the business started when her daughter Hunter fell ill.
This illness led Belinda to search for solutions and in turn began a journey of study in natural therapies and an interest that continues to grow as she learns.
“A friend of mine had taken an Emmett course and since we had passed the treatment, I trained to become a fully qualified therapist in the Emmett technique,” Belinda said.
“At some point we were referred to a doctor known for more natural remedies and therapies.
“The doctor introduced us to PEMF (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field) therapy.
“Hunter had an immediate and positive response to therapy, so we purchased a device.
“After doing additional research on PEMF therapy and its benefits and understanding the differences between the types of devices and the results they achieve, I decided to purchase a few additional devices and “rent” them to people likely to benefit from his therapy.
“Medical-grade devices can cost up to $10,000. Most people would rather use the device and see results before spending that kind of money on themselves.
“I wanted to give people the opportunity to see if they’ve had success with the device they’re considering buying theirs.”
Natural Elements offers Emmett, Bowen, PEMF treatments and rentals.
They stock an amazing range of Australian made, organic and chemical free personal, household and pet products.
They have hair, face and body products as well as fabulous concentrates
cleaning products without the bulk or fillers.
There’s a range of reference books, a huge wall of herbs for making teas and natural remedies, and a DIY section stocking the ingredients you need to make it yourself.
The business has all abilities access and off road parking for guest convenience.
Belinda and Hunter will begin taking treatment bookings in two weeks (mid-June) when construction of the treatment rooms is complete.
In the coming months they will be hosting Emmett Workshops and DIY Workshops to make your own face, body and home products using all natural products.
